If you had great expectations that this section would contain a treatise on what whisky is, how it is made or what different distilleries there are, well, you should probably read less Dickens. We know for a fact that there are hundreds of websites around which explain all that better than we ever could. So why do it again?
Our site is for you if you already know these things and/or if would like to find new horizons in the form of new whisky or share your knowledge on the subject.
As bottom line we would like to establish that everything said on this website is entirely subjective, formed by personal opinions and predilections. There are no unified tastes, no absolute truths, no expert judgements and no objective analyses on whisky here or anywhere for that matter. We might slag off the Reckless and Cowardly Finishing-People with their Spring Camomile or Mint and Barbecued Lamb Finishes, but we do respect people who like that in a whisky. We just reserve the right to express our feelings.
What counts is one thing and one thing alone: do you like what is in your glass or not? And only from accepting the fact that we all have different tastes and that we all have a right to have different tastes comes respect. This in turn leads to understanding, happiness and many rounds in your favourite whisky bar.
